Brent McCorkle at Sundance Film Festival

Brent McCorkle has loved movies for as long as he can remember. 

 

As kids, he and his brother stopped counting after they had watched 'The Empire Strikes Back' and 'Raiders of the Lost Ark' forty times each. 

​

Brent's films are known for their heartfelt and visually-compelling storytelling ... including an award-winning film that caught the eye of Steven Spielberg, landing him a first-look deal with DreamWorks and Fox Television.

BRENT ON THE SET OF 'UNCONDITIONAL'

His feature film directorial debut was the biographical drama “Unconditional”, which was nominated for an Image award and shot entirely on location in the Nashville area. He wrote, directed, edited and co-scored the film. 

 

In 2018, Brent co-wrote, co-edited, scored, and 2nd-unit directed the Lionsgate hit, 'I Can Only Imagine', which grossed $83 million at the box office.

 

His latest script, a family comedy, sold to Sony/Columbia/Tristar, and is slated for production in 2020. 

 

Brent's recent narrative work has garnered favorable mentions in publications such as Variety, The Hollywood Reporter and MovieMaker. He also has been nominated for and won numerous awards.

Brent currently resides in Nashville, Tennessee with his wife Kim of 27 years, and their five children.
